Discover the World of Brooke Palmer

As a writer, I divide my compulsion and energy between modes and genres, moods and motivations. For 40 hours per week, I write and develop ELA assessments. I’ve been doing this for over two decades. My remaining creative hours are spent exploring and expressing the invasive thoughts I find most relevant or haunting at the moment. Some of these are published for wide audiences. Others are seeking their readers.

Contemplative Content Writer

I just learned that author/scholar/professor/feminist/inspirer bell hooks [lack of capitalization per her preference] has died. The last book I happened to read, completed just days ago, was an older one of hers, “All About Love.” And while it wasn’t necessarily my favorite of all her books that I’ve read, it seems most fitting to have been the last one consumed just before her passing, for its deep reflection on the meaning of love and how we can, as individuals, as a people, learn to live by a loving ethic.
